Press Release May 1: 2020 Summer Lunch Program
As the school year comes to an end The Kenton City Schools would like to extend the opportunity for students to continue receiving meals. This opportunity is available whether you have been receiving meals or are signing up for the first time. Either way you will need to submit the following form in order to participate.
Meals will continue to be available for all of our students who sign up, but we would also like to make you aware of an opportunity to have home-delivered meals for our students who are currently on the free or reduced lunch program. The program, called Meals to You, are shelf stable breakfast and lunch meals (10 each) that are delivered by mail weekly. At this time, Meals to You are available for delivery through June 30th. The enrollment for this program is available through May 7th and the link to sign up is available in the form below.
If you cannot or choose not to participate in the Meals to You program, we will still continue to provide meals at the following locations on Mondays and Thursdays: Kenton Elementary School, Kenton Middle School, Kenton High School, Board of Education Office, and the former Eastcrest Elementary School between the hours of 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. We will also be dropping off lunches to Scioto Village Apartments and Forest Court at 12:00 P.M. and lunches to Wharton Park at 12:30 P.M.
In order to prepare for the number of lunches to be delivered to each site, we are asking families to complete the google form https://go.kcs.me/summerlunch2020 or call the district office between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M at 419-673-0775.
Please be patient with us as we work through this process. We anticipate some challenges and delays in the beginning as this is a new program for our district. We are committed to serving the students of our school community.
