KHS Art Foundations students recently finished their Sunset Silhouette paintings

For this assignment, students were asked to create a silhouette landscape (rural, wilderness, urban, or coastal scene). Students had the choice of creating a traditional red, orange, yellow sunset or they could use a pink, blue, and purple sky. By reducing the subject matter to a silhouette, they were really focusing on the positive and negative shapes as well as adding fine details.
