Kenton High School Business Professionals of America is hosting a series of events to complement the celebration. The Wildcat Groundbreaker 5K will be hosted by the KHS Cross Country Team. The race will start at 9 am from the new building site. Community members can register for $25. Individuals registering before April 30th, 2023 will receive a tee shirt. A fun run will also be held for students in grades PreK-6 free of charge.
Following the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Kenton City Schools clubs and organizations will have booths for the community to visit along Silver Street. Two food trucks, Fork in the Road and 101 Smokehouse on Wheels, will serve lunch on-site for the community.
A double-elimination muddy tug-of-war event will also be held with the Kenton High School Football Program. Teams of four can pre-register for $20. On-site registration is $25 the day of the event.
