There is great excitement surrounding this year’s Kenton High School Homecoming, planned to begin September 18th. In addition to planned special themed dress each day, Kenton High School will hold our traditional bonfire on Wednesday, September 20th at 8:00 p.m. directly behind Robinson Field. A pep rally will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on September 22nd in the high school gymnasium for Kenton High School students.
The Homecoming Parade will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September, 22nd, forming behind Twirl with homecoming attendants and royalty candidates. The parade will then proceed east on Columbus Street to Kenton Middle School. Joining the parade will be the JROTC Color Guard followed by the Wildcat Battalion, the Kenton High School Band, and high school cheerleaders. Highlighting the parade will be last year’s Homecoming Queen, Riley Hunt, our 2013 Homecoming Queen, Emily (Baird) Oney, along with this year’s attendants. Kenton City Schools retired resource officer, Officer Dan Foulk, will serve as our Grand Marshall. Following behind will be Kenton High School and Kenton Middle School fall athletic teams.
The pre-game ceremony and activities will begin Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. on Robinson Field with the presentation of the Queen and Attendants. On Saturday, September 23rd, the Junior Class will sponsor the Homecoming dance from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the Kenton High School gymnasium.
