Kenton struggled to win games in their 5-0 loss to WBL foe Lima Shawnee. At first singles, Amanda Van Horn fell to Brailynn Murphy 6-1, 6-0. Presley Wilson played tough in her 7-5, 6-2 loss to Riya Naroor at second singles. Makenna Stanforth lost at third singles to Jia Panchal 6-0, 6-2. Mia Vermillion and Katelyn Stevenson won the first doubles game before falling to the Shawnee duo of Alivia Mack and Leah Fuller 6-1, 6-0. Katie Lowe and Diana Nease were defeated 6-1, 6-1 to Hadassah Smith and Keely Basil. Kenton’s next match is again Ottawa-Glandorf, at Ottawa on Monday, August 25 at 4:30 pm.
