The Kenton boys golf team hit the road on Monday to face off against Elida, falling just short in a competitive match. Elida edged out Kenton with a team score of 173 to 184.
Despite the loss, several Kenton golfers turned in solid performances. Austin Root led the Wildcats with a score of 44, followed closely by Landon Plaugher, who carded a 46. Oliver Sneary and Jack Whitmer each posted a 47, rounding out the top four scores that contributed to the team total. Cale Harshfield added a 49, while Parker Benson finished with a 54.
