Van Wert | 182 |
The Kenton Boys Junior Varsity golf team hit the road Thursday afternoon, traveling to Willow Bend Country Club to take on Van Wert in a closely contested match. Despite a solid team performance, Kenton fell short with a final score of 197 to Van Wert’s 182.
While the team result wasn’t in Kenton’s favor, the highlight of the day came from freshman Brayden Lowe, who carded a 46 and delivered a spectacular hole-in-one on hole 7 — a rare and exciting achievement that electrified the course.
Also contributing to the Wildcats’ team score were Luke Hensel and Tate Ketcham, each shooting a 50. Brady Cole followed closely with a 51, while Ethan McNamara (56) and Jace Murphy (61) rounded out the roster with strong efforts.
