CLASSIFIED POSITION 

7 HRS. PER DAY 179 DAYS (PRORATED)

 HOURLY WAGE $16.61-$18.91

Qualifications – The qualifications for this position are listed in the job description.  Essential qualifications include the following:

  • Behavioral management skills substantiated by training/work experience.  Duties require agility, physical strength, and stamina to address the needs of students with problem behavior and/or require physical assistance (e.g., mobility, transferring, positioning, etc.)
  • Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
  • Embodies high ethical standards/integrity.  Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
  • Follows established district protocols to ensure the accurate/timely recording and preservation of documents.  Maintains a systematic filing system that supports the efficient electronic retrieval of records.
  • Coordinates “making” within the Maker Space.
  • Implement a learning framework that prompts a student to manipulate various tools, media and materials both in guided and free creation.
  • Model the language of learning and the critical thinking process intrinsic to the creative process.
  • Embody a strong desire to learn new techniques and applications of technology.
  • Assist teachers and students in understanding how to use Maker Space tools
  • Research, develop and prototype innovative maker activities.  Instructs faculty and students on safe use of tools.
  • Documents and maintains inventory and usage records.
  • Provides opportunities for students to participate in an inclusive educational environment.
  • Advocates for students.
  • Helps students make appropriate choices and grow academically.  Promotes creativity, cultural awareness, democratic values, ethical conduct, self-reliance and reflective problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitates student learning activities that encourage teamwork and positive peer relationships.
  • Participates in training to keep current with professional standards associated with work duties.
  • Updates skills as needed to use available task appropriate technology effectively.
  • Works toward mastery of individualized development/performance goals as directed.
  • Assists with unexpected/urgent situations as needed.
  • Helps implement workplace initiatives that advance district goals.
