Fourth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams Past Kenton Varsity Wildcats

Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams defeated Kenton Varsity Wildcats 20-4 on Monday thanks in part to 12 runs in the fourth inning.
Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams were the first to get on the board in the first when Addy Johnson grounded out, scoring one run.
Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Madison Hart hit a sacrifice fly, Ava Saull hit a sacrifice fly, Adilyn Hessey singled to center field, and Kenton Varsity Wildcats committed an error, each scoring one run.
Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams scored 12 runs on eight hits in the top of the fourth inning. Hart doubled, scoring one run, Hessey doubled, scoring one run, Lauren Parker drew a walk, scoring one run, Carly Boes grounded out, scoring one run, Johnson doubled, scoring three runs, Saull doubled, scoring one run, Hessey singled, scoring one run, and Ella Frombaugh singled, scoring one run.
Kenslee Swavel earned the win for Upper Sandusky Varsity Lady Rams. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run over four innings, striking out nine and walking one. Kylee Kavanagh took the loss for Kenton Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up nine runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out none and walking one.
Lyla Gammon and Alexis Ratliff were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Kenton Varsity Wildcats while hitting back-to-back. Ratliff drove the middle of the lineup, leading Kenton Varsity Wildcats with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
Kenton Varsity Wildcats will travel to Indian Lake for their next game on Tuesday.
