Yesterday students from Ohio Northern University Engineering Department came to make ramps with the kids. They taught them about force and motion. Students had lots of fun.

Our PTO sponsored an assembly today where not only did kids get to see some really cool basketball skills but learned about the value of effort.
Kenton City Schools will not be in session on February 20th, 2023 due to Presidents Day. Classes will resume at regular time on February 21st, 2023.
5th grade STEM students learned about sound and pitch and then created instruments using recycled materials. Bonus points were given if they could play a song! One group even decided to create a song book!

Did you know there are 3 main types of volcanoes? Students learned about the differences and then picked one type to build using only one roll of toilet paper. After construction was complete, they helped them erupt.
Last week in STEM, Sixth graders researched NFL football stadiums and studied the engine. Then they created their own stadiums. They even tested their designs with a mini football.
