Press Release: March 13, 2020

Information –  March 13, 2020:

Athletics:

Athletic events, scrimmages, practices, lifting, workouts, team activities, cheer try-outs, spring pictures and any other school sport related activity has been canceled beginning Saturday, March 14th through Sunday, April 5th.

All district athletic facilities will be CLOSED during this time. This includes use by adults. 

We still have not received guidance from the OHSAA on what their plan is for Winter Tournaments and Spring Sports. We will communicate the information when it becomes available

Education:

At home learning will begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.  Information and lessons will be shared via the student’s email account and Google Classroom.  Students in grades K-12 who do not have access to email or Google Classroom may pick up a paper copy of the assignments at their school building office on Monday evening between the hours of 3:30-6:30 P.M. 

Special arrangements will be made for K-6 students who do not have devices to connect to the online learning. Please contact the Kenton Elementary School office on Monday after 10am for more information.

Wildcat Community Health Centers:

Wildcat Community Health Center at Kenton High School will remain open by appointment only. All students, staff and families may use the High School Health Center. The number to call is 419-673-1286 option 3. The Wildcat Community Health Center at Kenton Elementary School will be closed for the three week period.

School Lunch information during the closure period will be provided as soon as it is available.
