The Kenton City Schools will be proposing a later start date for the 2020-2021 school year at the July Board of Education meeting. Students would start one week later on August 19, 2020. This allows the school district to have a few extra days for refining safety protocols, professional development for staff, and allowing more time to receive supplies to ensure the safest return possible for our students and staff.
The change in the calendar would make the last day for students May 25, 2021. Our graduation date would remain the same as the previous calendar, May 22, 2021. The updated calendar can be found on our website at www.kentoncityschools.org.
More information regarding the specific reopening plan and educational options for families will be released later this week.
