Sixth grade programmer helps fellow students at KES

Jamison Clark, a sixth grader at Kenton Elementary School, saw a problem and decided to come up with a solution. Students were confused on whether they qualified to go to the gym after lunch, so he developed a website that helps students by telling them what days they go to the gym and what days they don’t. The website also tells them what requirements that have to meet to go to the gym.

He developed the program in Notepad++, writing HTML code to develop the website. To learn how to develop HTML code, he is self-taught, using YouTube videos and coding websites like codecademy.com.
