The Leader in Me club is the D Pod Service Project club made up of 5th and 6th graders. They have come up with service project ideas to help those in our school, community and country. So far in October, they have planted and decorated the planters in the front of the KES entrance to spruce it up and make it welcoming. In November they colored and decorated placemats and made pine cone turkey centerpieces for Hardin Hills Nursing home for their Thanksgiving dinner. In December they created and decorated trees for the KES front entrance and decorated the Christmas trees in the cafeteria. Four of the club’s members shared this info with pictures of some of our service projects with the Board of Education at their December meeting.
