Summer PEBT Information

1.  All children who were eligible for Free or Reduced school meals during this past 2023 school year are eligible to receive PEBT benefits this summer.   The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services are partnering to ensure eligible Ohio school children will receive this benefit.
2.  School districts have submitted information to the state for all eligible students who were actively enrolled in their school district at the end of the school year.
3.  Each eligible child will receive $120 in total for the summer.   This one payment will be issued by the end of June.
4.  If your child is eligible and is currently receiving SNAP benefits – this money will be added to their regular SNAP card.
5.  If your child is not a current SNAP recipient:

  • If you do not have a P-EBT card that was issued in or after February 2021, you will receive a preloaded P-EBT card in the mail in early to mid-July
  • The card will be in the child’s name, not the parent or guardian’s name.
  • Instructions on how to activate the card will be included.
  • Keep this card as it could be used for any future P-EBT benefits your child is eligible for.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             For more information regarding Summer PEBT benefits go to:
