POSITION: Agriculture Education Satellite Instructor, Kenton High School
REPORTS TO: Career Tech Supervisor
STARTING DATE: July 2024
SALARY RANGE: Based upon years of experience in education or industry and highest level of educational attainment based on the certified salary schedule.
WORK WEEK/YEAR: Standard School Year, 186-day base contract + 15 annual extended days + 5 extended days for 1st year
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: A valid Ohio career-technical education certificate or license or five years of work experience in the agriculture industry.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding and experience delivering agriculture education. An instructor with a strong background in welding and mechanical principals is
preferred. Effective organizational, planning, communication, and project management skills. Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement program options, auxiliary services, and curricular materials which support the diverse learning needs of all students. Experience working with career technical student organizations, specifically FFA.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to high school students for employment or further education in the field of agriculture. Evaluate student performance, work cooperatively with parents, community, business/industry, and school personnel. Serve as FFA co-advisor to high school chapter.
