POSITION: Business Education Satellite Instructor, Kenton High School
REPORTS TO: Career Tech Supervisor
STARTING DATE: July 2024
SALARY RANGE: Based upon years of experience in education or industry and highest level of educational attainment based on the certified salary schedule.
WORK WEEK/YEAR: Standard School Year, 186-day base contract + 5 extended days for 1st year
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: A valid Ohio career-technical education certificate or license or five years of work experience in a field of business.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding and experience teaching business education, including principles of management, marketing, communication, and entrepreneurship.
Effective organizational, planning, communication, and project management skills. Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement program options, auxiliary services, and curricular materials which support the diverse learning needs of all students. Experience working with career technical student organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to high school students for employment or further education in the field of business. Evaluate student performance, work cooperatively with parents, community, business/industry, and school personnel. Serve as BPA co-advisor to high school chapter.
