The Kenton Wildcats boys golf team claimed a strong win over Bath on Thursday afternoon in Western Buckeye League (WBL) play, posting a team score of 165 to Bath’s 178 at Memorial Park Golf Course.
Leading the way for the Wildcats were Oliver Sneary and Landon Plaugher, both firing impressive rounds of 38 to pace the team. Austin Root added a solid 41, while Jack Whitmer and Cale Harshfield each carded 48s. Parker Benson rounded out the scoring with a 54.
The team’s consistent performance across the board proved key in securing the victory on their home course, as Kenton capitalized on strong ball-striking and course familiarity to hold off Bath.
