Kenton Varsity Wildcats couldn’t keep up with Wapakoneta Varsity Redskins and fell 16-2 on Monday.
Sophia Knife earned the win for Wapakoneta Varsity Redskins. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. Kylee Kavanagh took the loss for Kenton Varsity Wildcats. The hurler went four innings, giving up 13 runs (six earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking three.
Kaylee Barlow and Brayla Butler were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Kenton Varsity Wildcats. Barlow and Butler were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Kenton Varsity Wildcats.
