Wildcats Fall to Defending WBL Champions Ottawa-Glandorf.
The Kenton boys varsity golf team traveled to take on the defending Western Buckeye League champions, Ottawa-Glandorf, on Thursday.
Ottawa-Glandorf came away with a 149-180 victory over the Wildcats.
Austin Root led Kenton with a round of 42. Brayden Lowe followed with a 44, while Anden Goldsmith carded a 45. Oliver Sneary finished with a 49, and Rhoen Goldsmith and Quin Kozman each shot 52.
Ottawa-Glandorf was led by Alex Belleman, who posted a 36. Tyler Heckman and Collin Ellerbrock each finished with a 37, while Davis Maag shot 39. Logan Brinkimeier added a 40, and Collin Verhoff rounded out the Titans’ scores with a 45.
Despite the loss, the Wildcats gained valuable experience competing against the defending WBL champions and will look to build on the round as the season continues.
