The Kenton boys golf team celebrated Senior Night with a victory defeating Van Wert 170-180 in a home Western Buckeye League matchup.
The match also honored Kenton seniors Tate Ketcham and Quin Kozman, who were recognized before competing in their final home WBL match.
Kenton was led by Oliver Sneary and Anden Goldsmith, who each carded a 41. Kozman followed with a 44, while Brayden Lowe shot 49 and Austin Root finished with a 50. Ketcham rounded out the Wildcats’ scoring with a 53.
The Wildcats finished with a team score of 170 to Van Wert’s 180, improving to 4-4 in WBL play and 7-4 overall.
Kenton will close out the regular-season WBL schedule Tuesday when the Wildcats travel to Shawnee for their final league match. The team will then compete in the WBL Tournament on Thursday.
