The Kenton Wildcats Boys Tennis Team traveled to Ottawa to take on the Titans Tuesday night. The Titans opened up the scoring by winning the 3rd singles and 2nd singles matches. Xander Verhoff defeated Richard Huang 0-6, 0-6 and Dawson Boninsegna defeated Seth Spencer 1-6, 1-6. Kenton responded with wins at 1st and 2nd doubles. Cale Harshfield/Wyatt Campbell defeated Sam Warnecke/Gavin Bockrath 6-3, 6-3 and Jack Whitmer/Ethan McNamara defeated Greg Rosengarten/Brady Wilson 6-1, 6-3. The match came down to 1st singles. Garraden Wirbel lost the 1st set to Noah Compton 5-7. He won the 2nd set 6-2. Garraden completed the comeback with a 3rd set 6-2 win and the Wildcats defeated the Titans 3 – 2. Kenton is now 2 – 1, 2 – 0 in the WBL.
In JV action Leighton Wirbel/Tate Ketcham won 8-5.
