Strong Hitting Not Enough As Kenton Varsity Wildcats Falls To Shawnee Varsity Indians

Even though Kenton Varsity Wildcats collected four hits to Shawnee Varsity Indians’s three, they still fell 6-4 on Tuesday. The game was called at the bottom of the 6th due to weather.
Kenton Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brayla Butler singled down the right field line, and Ratliff doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Kenton Varsity Wildcats added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Peyton Rudasill doubled to center field, and Kaylee Barlow grounded out, each scoring one run.
Shawnee Varsity Indians jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Kenton Varsity Wildcats committed an error, Anna Menke doubled to left field, Kenton Varsity Wildcats committed an error, and Shawnee Varsity Indians scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
Riley Rhodes earned the win for Shawnee Varsity Indians. The hurler surrendered four hits and four runs over six innings, striking out six and walking three. Rylee Woodruff took the loss for Kenton Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
