The Kenton Wildcats hosted Elida Friday nght for their 4th straight WBL match. The Wildcats battled to the end in every match but lost 2 – 3. Garraden Wirbel lost to Leyton Stayley at 1st Singles. Garraden lost the 1st set 4-6, then pushed the 2nd set to a tie break, losing 6-7 (4-7). Seth Spencer defeated Colton Radar at 2nd Singles 6-2, 6-0. Leighton Wirbel outlasted Hunter Lawson 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 in a marathon match that lasted roughly 3 hours. The 1st Doubles team of Cale Harshfield/Wyatt Campbell lost to Brody Altenbach/Thomas Etzkorn 2-6, 3-6. Tate Ketcham/Ethan McNamara had the other 3 set match, but lost to Noah Jostpile/Zane Soloman 2-6, 6-4, 3-6.
Kenton is now 2-3, 2-2 in the WBL. The Wildcats continue this grueling WBL schedule as they travel to Shawnee Monday.
