Kenton Golf Teams Sweep WBL Match at Defiance
The Kenton boys golf teams traveled to Defiance for a Western Buckeye League golf match and returned home with victories as both the varsity and junior varsity teams defeated the Bulldogs.
The Kenton varsity squad posted a 164-176 victory over Defiance.
Leading the way for the Wildcats was Oliver Sneary, who carded a 37. Quin Kozman followed with a 44, while Austin Root shot a 45. Rhoen Goldsmith finished with a 42, Brayden Lowe recorded a 41, and Anden Goldsmith rounded out the Kenton scoring with a 54.
Kenton’s junior varsity team also picked up a win, defeating Defiance 206-235.
Landon Hunsaker led the JV Wildcats with a 49. Clay Furr followed with a 51, while Gabe Percell shot a 52. Mason Smith carded a 54, Tate Ketcham finished with a 55, and SJ posted a 67.
Both Kenton teams continue to gain valuable experience as the Wildcats move through the Western Buckeye League schedule.
