Kenton Varsity Wildcats Fall To Bath Varsity Wildkittens Despite Strong Effort From Brayla Butler

Brayla Butler collected three hits in three at bats, but Kenton Varsity Wildcats lost to Bath Varsity Wildkittens 15-2 on Friday. Butler hit a solo home run to center field in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Kenton Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Butler hit a solo home run to center field.

Bath Varsity Wildkittens captured the lead, 6-1, in the bottom of the first after Addi Gibson homered to center field, and Delaynee Jenkins doubled to center field, each scoring three runs.

Bath Varsity Wildkittens added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Alyx Liles flew out, and Addy Rex singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Gibson homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth for the Bath Varsity Wildkittens.

Madison Edelbrock earned the win for Bath Varsity Wildkittens. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Alexis Ratliff took the loss for Kenton Varsity Wildcats. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up 10 runs (six earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking five.

Kenton Varsity Wildcats will travel to Allen East Varsity Mustangs for their next game on Saturday.
